Seat Leon Cupra R Offers Extra Equipment As Standard

ONE of the great bargains of the hot hatchback world is being quietly killed off – but not without its creators chucking in a couple of optional extras for free.

SEAT said that while its Leon Cupra has been withdrawn from the range it has significantly improved the Cupra R trim by adding plenty of extra kit to th 155 mph range-topper for no extra cost.

The latest Leon Cupra R now offers £1,665 worth of extra equipment as standard, including SEAT Media System 2.2, Bluetooth connectivity, Bi-xenon headlights with AFS and LED rear-light clusters. But while the 265bhp hot hatch’s equipment has been upped, the price has actually been lowered, and weighs in at £10 less than before at £25,995.

Other models in the SEAT range, including the less manic Leon FR, have also been given a summer refresh in time for the 61 plate.
