New Mitsubishi Shogun 2012 Has New Euro V Engine

The mightiest mudplugger Mitsubishi makes has just given a makeover to help it meet new emissions regulations.

This week Mitsubishi said its Shogun 4×4 not only has a new turbo diesel engine which helps it meet the new Euro V environmental rules, but has also been given a facelift on the outside and more lavish equipment levels on the inside to make sure it’s right up to date when it goes on sale later this week.

A Mitsubishi Motors spokesman said of the updated Shogun:
“It is a progressive evolution of Mitsubishi’s classic off-roading status symbol that combines authentic four-wheel drive go-anywhere ability with bold, muscular styling.
”It now comes with a Euro V compliant turbo diesel engine and offers a choice of either three door short-wheel base or five door long-wheel base versions.“

The off-roader – the latest in a long line of Shoguns stretching all the way back to 1982 – is available from £29,499, which buys the new entry-level SG2 version, stretching all the way to £40,999 for the range-topping SG4 version.
In its near 30 year career more than 100,000 Shoguns have been sold to UK buyers.
