Britain’s Smallest Production Car The Peel 50

The smallest car ever to emerge from the British Isles is back and – thanks to a big cash injection from a Dragon’s Den star – it’s proving a hit with buyers.

Last year the Peel P50, which despite being just four foot long impressed tycoon James Caan enough to attract a substantial investment, and now it’s back in production for anyone looking for the ultimate microcar experience.

The latest version, a petrol Peel P50 which does between 180 and 200 miles to the gallon, sports a 49cc engine and a top speed of 40 mph, selling at £14,995.

The Peels come as eco-friendly electric versions too, capable of travelling up to 50 miles between charges and reaching speeds in excess of 35mph.
